We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual who will support our international team.

Job description
  • Administrative assistant to management by e.g. managing calendars, schedules, calls and arranging appointments, meetings, and conferences
  • Researching and preparing presentations and speeches, including slides and other supporting documents
  • Preparing content, background information and core messages for meetings, in coordination with other departments
  • Establish / maintain a filling system of all important / relevant documents / meeting notes, other documents
  • Communication with internal and external partners, customers, company representatives, political and private institutions in Germany and China, as well as colleagues in the German chamber network and related institutions
  • Providing support for planning, implementation and controlling of ongoing projects and tasks
  • Ensure that planning, implementing and controlling of projects are handled in time, accurately and disciplined
  • Holiday and temporary replacement for secretariat of AHK SH

Both Internationals and local Chinese

  • Bachelorís degree with at least 3-5 years of related experience
  • German native speaker with excellent Mandarin languages skills or Chinese native speaker with excellent command of German, e.g. with study or working experience in Germany or multinational companies
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with other departments and external partners
  • Strong analytic skills and understanding for working procedures
  • Good knowledge of economics/politics in China and Germany/EU and worldwide
  • Able and willingness to input ideas and suggestions for improvements within the role, the department and the business
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Able to work in a high-stress environment with strict deadlines, very reliable
  • Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality and ability to work independently
